Carol Sherlock
Carol originally hails from Scotland but has called Australia home for the past twenty years where she lives with her husband and two children.
Her interest in art began at a very early age where she showed great talent and aptitude. Throughout school Carol actively pursued her interest in art and music which culminated in an arts degree from Edinburgh University in the eighties.
Carol has had a number of successful one man shows over the last five years and has been painting commissioned works for the majority of 2015. Her work is displayed in Hong Kong, Canada, New Zealand and the UK.
Carol’s choice of medium is Acrylic on canvas and her inspiration is the human form. Her figures are strong, vibrant and engaging often with a whimsical touch.
She strives to make her art positive, beautiful and pleasurable. It's not about confrontation, it's about walking down stairs in the morning, seeing a painting, and feeling better for having looked at it.
