To put it plainly, traditional or representational art is often regarded by the modernists and abstractionists as being rather dated, or worse still, has become irrelevant in today’s world.
Mike states confidence plays a big part in being successful in any pursuit. It is no different for an artist too.
Mike states this view of Waymouth Street in the rain sold about 10 years ago but after that it had many thousands of views on social media and some big sites shared the image. It remains as my most seen painting ever.
Mike says about this painting "Although the sand cliffs at Middleton in South Australia are no where near this big, memories of things distort reality but not the feeling of the day we experienced the scene!"
