Rosie White
Rosemary White is an Adelaide based artist whose practice centres on still life, figurative, landscape and portraiture painting. Rosemary graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Art from Adelaide Central School of Art in 2013. She uses oil painting to highlight and express beauty in the everyday. In her floral still lives, she is particularly fascinated by colour, fabric, reflections and shadows. In her landscape pieces, she paints human interventions in our natural surroundings.
Rosemary has participated in group and solo exhibitions and has been a finalist and award winner in numerous art prizes, for example, the Cliftons Prize, Kennedy “Beauty” Prize and the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. She is a career painter who has a practiced based on commissioned portraits and who also teaches art to adults at Sarah McDonald’s Art School in Adelaide.
